Workshop Terms & Conditions

How do I book a workshop?
You can either join us for a ticketed event, or book us to host a private workshop – details are listed on our Workshops Page. You can book online using a credit card, debit card or PayPal. Full, cleared payment is required prior to a workshop commencing.

What if I can’t attend the workshop I bought tickets for?
If you find yourself unable to attend the ticketed workshop and it’s more than 14 days in advance, we can offer a refund of 50%. This covers our venue rental costs and administrative fees.
If cancellation is within 14 days of your workshop I’m afraid we are unable to offer a refund. You can always send some lucky friend in your place though – just let us know of the name change please.

If you need to cancel please either email Karen on: hello@dotsandblocks.co.uk or give us a call on 07856 257623

What if I need to cancel my private booking workshop?
We get it. Sometimes life throws a curve ball. As you’re the one providing the venue for the workshop, our cancellation policy for private bookings is incredibly generous.

If you find yourself needing to cancel your private workshop and it’s more than 14 days in advance, you can either reschedule or we can offer you a refund of 90%. This covers our administrative fees.

If cancellation is within 14 days of your private workshop we are able to offer a refund of 75%.

What if the workshop is cancelled?
A full refund will be given if your workshop is cancelled by Dots & Blocks for any reason. For example this could be due to inclement weather conditions that are out of our control. Flooding of local roads, road closures, snow etc, or you can elect to attend an alternative workshop instead, space permitting.

How many students are there in a workshop?
We like to keep our workshops small and friendly, so there are usually around 6 – 12 people.

What should I bring?
All materials and tools are supplied for all of our workshops. We supply plastic disposable aprons, but feel free to bring your own crafty apron if you have one.

Do you run workshops for children?
We run creative workshops during most of the school holidays that are specifically for accompanied children aged 5+
We also have workshops aimed for accompanied older children / teenagers for ages 11 – 16yrs.
Or you can book us to run a children’s party in your own home! Contact Karen by email for more details hello@dotsandblocks.co.uk

Can I turn up to a workshop on the day?
If you happen to be visiting The Artist’s Barn during setting up, and before the session starts – feel free to ask if there are any available spaces! But once we’re started we can’t add anyone else.

I want to do a workshop but you don’t run them in my area?
We are always looking for new venues and opportunities to share creativity in new areas. Contact Karen by email with your request at hello@dotsandblocks.co.uk
Our only criteria is that the venue must be within a one hour drive of SP4 8BW. We look forward to hearing from you!
