Jude and I went on a beginners block printing course last Wednesday. It was the best 3hours+ I’ve been so busy so have had no time to be creative and relax. Karen is an exceptional teacher and we look forward to our advanced course next month. Thank you so much Karen

  2. Jude Lucas

Really enjoyed my very first experience of block printing. Karen is a very good teacher knowing when to step in and help without being overly intrusive. I found the whole session relaxing and enjoyable. Cant wait for the next one in June

My daughter and I took part in one of Karen’s block printing workshop at Ginnys Cafe Boyton in November. We really enjoyed ourselves. Karen’s a great teacher, she used lovely materials and taught us some fabulous techniques. Thanks Karen x

  6. Sara Bottomley

Thoroughly enjoyed the Advanced block printing workshop. After a quick revision of basic technique we went on to tessellations, borders and all over printing. . Karen gave very clear directions and there was plenty of practice fabric to use before we moved on to our own cushion cover and tea towel. Before the workshop Karen got in touch to ask what sort of motifs I liked so she could bring appropriate blocks. That was a great idea and there were blocks for sale too.
A lovely, fun morning and I would recommend it. Have already booked to do the Dot Mandela course next. Many thanks.

After meeting Karen at a local craft market, we decided to book her for a team activity for our team of paediatric occupational therapists.
It was such a fun afternoon and it was lovely to learn different techniques and experiment with the large variety of blocks and colours.
Everyone in the team said it was a lovely afternoon and we would definitely recommend Dots and Blocks to anyone.
It doesn’t matter if you are total beginner or expert in craft – Karen is an enthusiast and will make sure you have a fabulous time.

  9. Stephanie – Advanced Block Printing

I had so much fun on the advanced blocked printing workshop! Karen is fabulous at making you feel at ease and explaining the techniques. I’ve been block printing for a while but I learnt so much from how to use border blocks and create tidy corners to little hints and tricks to make printing easier. I also loved getting to use blocks I don’t have at home like the large peacocks and a huge elephant! I was delighted with the pieces I made on the course and have practiced many of the things I learnt since in designs at home. I would thoroughly recommend a Dots and Blocks printing workshop! Stephanie

  10. Janice

Thank you Karen for a very enjoyable workshop, I was excited but nervous as I have never done anything like block printing before. You made me feel very welcome and it was very interesting how you explained everything from how you get your blocks for printing etc. I would highly recommend your workshop and I will definitely be booking on your next one. Thank you again Janice x

The workshop was fantastic. Karen was very welcoming and organised. The explanation of block printing, equipment used and how to go about it was very helpful.

It was so lovely to be taking time to become totally absorbed in a brand new (to me) craft. Plus I have a lovely new tote bag! Thank you Karen for a most enjoyable workshop. Helen
