These sessions are suitable for anyone aged 5+ No previous crafty experience required, we will learn absolutely everything together. Note: we will practice the techniques on scrap fabric before creating your masterpieces.

Note: Access to The Artist’s Barn is up a short flight of stairs. Apologies, this building is not wheelchair accessible.

Description

Please note: We will be using fabric paint, so please ensure you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy in! Avoid wearing loose / floaty long sleeves. Disposable aprons are provided.

The last ten minutes of the session is reserved for tidying away tools – many hands make light work and we appreciate your help! Also, there will be a fabulous selection of materials available for you to buy – plus we have a card reader too.

2 reviews for School Holidays Block Printing Workshops

  1. Tash & Lily

In the words of Lily (10) it was really enjoyable and fun to do with friends or family members, I found it interesting and want to do it again.

In the words of me (40+). What a lovely little place, I have never been to the Ginger Piggery or done block printing before. I sat down not knowing what to expect amd had fun creating my tote bag. I found it really easy and enjoyable to do and soo realxing. It was lovely to spend some quality time with my daughter without running around. The few steps up to the workshop were easily navigated even with my disability.

Karen was soo inviting and encouraging and we created our pieces of work even helping my daughter over print where she was disappointed her print hadn’t shown clearly. We will definitely do this again. Maybe next time I will do a pencil case but maybe as a “snack case” instead for the office. Don’t delay book today you won’t be disappointed!

  2. Konni & Selda

It was our first time at the Artisan’s Barn at the Ginger Piggery. Karen was so welcoming and kind right from the start. It’s such a creative and beautiful environment to work in. All the resources were provided and arranged brilliantly to be accessed easily. Karen thought of every detail and even where to seat people in order to support everyone. What I found most helpful was that she knew just how much to support my daughter (6) so I could focus on my own creativity while enjoying watching my daughter make her own artistic choices. The price for the course is very fair considering we got so much out of it.

Selda loved it, she really got into it. She was so proud of her prints and arranged them all once home. She said that she had the best day. She is looking forward to using her bag to collect sweets.
