Thin foam printing mats
Will your thin foam mats actually work? They’re only 2mm thick… – Absolutely! We have several years experience of only using these for all our Creativity Kits, Creative Workshops and thousands of our own printing projects. They really do work. Note: you don’t need to use much pressure to achieve a perfect print. Making printing more accessible for those with poor dexterity or painful hands.

You have a choice of 2 sizes of thin foam printing mats (A4 & A3), and we would recommend buying both. Soft and foam-like material that is perfect for for all your block printing needs. Use under directly under paper or fabric projects, or place inside double sided fabric projects (such as inside a tote bag or a T-shirt). Easy to cut to size for smaller projects like purses or pencil cases. Please note, colours vary.
Available to buy individually or in great value packs of 10. Affordable supplies for those hosting workshops.
Thick block printing mat
These thicker printing mats are preferred by some for block printing. Available in one size only, approx 20cm x 25cm, thickness 5mm – colours vary. Available to buy individually. Please note, these mats require significantly more pressure than our thin mats to achieve a perfect print

These are great for block printing. I have only ever used thicker boards so I was a little worried, but these were perfect. You don’t have to apply too much pressure and the print comes out very clearly. I highly recommend these. What I love also is that they are available in A4 and A3 sizes.

I purchased some of the thin printing mats from Dots and Blocks, having only used the thicker type before I wasn’t sure whether they would work as well. I have used the thin mats with both card and fabric and they have been great, my prints have been crisp and I didn’t need to use as much pressure as usual, which has been a relief on my wrists! I love that they come in different sizes, I have both A4 and A3. I would definitely recommend these and will be using them regularly for my printing projects.
